Focus

Time is stagnant as the clock laughs at my impatience
My mind is racing, unable to track my thoughts
The lecture goes on; Categorical Syllogisms are…
He is saying something…Important?
LISTEN! I command myself
Focus
Tic and then, and then it’s a…Toc
Something about Fallacies, Something about a TEST?
Something, Something assignment that’s due…Some day?
I NEED TO PAY ATTENTION, I need milk, bread, toothpaste
And….You have to LISTEN!
You are going to miss it
FOCUS!
Turn inconspicuously; look at the clock, How much longer?
You’ve got to be kidding me! I think someone broke the space-time continuum!
He will think I am lazy, unimaginative, undisciplined, Am I?
How do I tell them without seeming laughable, I am
Trying harder than they could possibly know
Listen, They say; Act your age
FOCUS!!
I think its time, class is almost over; I glance and
WHAT? Its just beginning…HOW?
He is discussing logic, reason, and…one could logically reason
That The Clock Is Broken!
I wish their was someone that understood the jumble,
Breakneck speed that are my thoughts
I want someone to listen, to…
focus
